Poetry and Music Evening

An evening of poetry and music on the theme Rivers of Life.

Join local poetry-lovers as we explore poems of the river. Come and listen or bring a poem to read out on the theme of the River Thames, or other rivers real and metaphorical that have made an impact on you.

Mark Dowling (Instagram @mjd_keys) will bring his beautiful music to complement the flow of words. Refreshments will be provided, and the evening is free.

St George’s Nine Elms Arts Ministry is hosting this free event, but places are limited, so book as soon as you can!

Part of the Rivers of Life festival.

Paint 'n' Sip

Come and get creative! Create a masterwork with the help of a professional artist, sip a drink and unwind.

Join others to create an artwork on a river theme - reflecting on the River Thames in London and the way the river shapes us and gives our city life.

Artist Felicty Prazac will lead us in creating a collaborative piece which brings together our unique viewpoints and interests through painting, stencils and collage.

It’s a time to meet new people and learn new skills - no experience necessary and there'll be free refreshments.

CREATIVE SOUL CAFE at The Alchemist

BROKENNESS TO BEAUTY: THE JAPANESE ART OF KINTSUGI

Back by popular demand - our April (and Easter) FREE Creative Soul Café is ‘Brokenness to Beauty’ – a chance to discover the Japanese art of restoring broken ceramics with beautiful gold inlay – showing that beauty and strength can emerge from what is broken.

Elaine will lead you through the inspiring and reflective process – and you will leave with both a beautiful and unique ceramic kintsugi bowl - and hopefully inspired to look at how you can use the principles and practice of Kintsugi in many different ways.

Creative Soul Cafes are all about finding space to reflect, nurturing your wellbeing and getting to know your neighbours.

Join us on Saturday 12th April for this free workshop in the relaxed setting of The Alchemist, 1 Ponton Rd, Embassy Gardens, SW11 7BD

We expect this workshop to be oversubscribed so book quickly – only 15 places.

Thanks to our sponsors CMS Tax Law for enabling us to offer this workshop free of charge.
