We work to bring people together from different parts of our diverse community, in meaningful encounters to build community cohesion.

Nine Elms Arts Ministry is all about collaboration.

In 2023, Nine Elms Arts Ministry became a charity and now operates with support from a wonderful team of volunteers, colleagues and our board of trustees.

  • Gilly Bailey-Smith - Trustee of Nine Elms Arts Ministry

    Gilly Bailey-Smith

    TRUSTEE

    Gilly brings a wealth of experience in both the arts and spirituality. After earning her degree in Dance and Theology, she taught Contemporary dance in Westminster for many years.

    Currently training for ordination, she will begin her role as a curate in South London in June 2023, while also serving as a school Chaplain, providing spiritual support to young people.

    Gilly is a passionate supporter of the arts. We are very happy to have her dedication and expertise at Nine Elms Arts Ministry.

  • Nora Bullock - Trustee of Nine Elms Arts Ministry

    Nora Bullock

    TRUSTEE

    With over 20 years track record as a corporate solicitor at international law firms in London, Nora has worked on a range of commercial and regulatory matters, mainly in the financial services sector.

    Nora is a talented songwriter, composer, and jazz pianist - passionate about music and all forms of creativity and arts. As a dedicated Christian, she is active in her local church in Southwest London and leads local prayer groups.

    As a strong advocate for Nine Elms Arts Ministry since it was founded, we are delighted to welcome Nora to the board of trustees.

  • Sarita Rampat - Secretary & Treasurer

    Sarita Rampat

    SECTRETARY & TREASURER

    Sarita has extensive experience in finance and administration within the church sector. She served as Parish Administrator & Finance Coordinator at St Barnabas, Clapham Common for twelve years and is currently the Operations Manager at St Peter’s Battersea.

    With a background in social work, Sarita is dedicated to supporting mission and ministry that promote hope, love, and peace.

    We are pleased to have her expertise and support at Nine Elms Arts Ministry.

Rev. Betsy Blatchley

Founder of Nine Elms Arts Ministry

As the Pioneer Minister in the Arts, Betsy shaped the vision of Nine Elms Arts Ministry.

With a rich background as a performer and theatre producer, she has worked with the Royal National Theatre and founded her own touring company. Betsy has also been involved in arts-in-education and arts for social action, including writing educational plays for BBC radio.

She holds a first-class Bachelor of Theology degree from Oxford and was ordained into the Church of England in 2003. Since then, she has worked in parish ministry and developed innovative projects across London, blending her passions for arts and faith.
