Welcome

Welcome to St George’s Nine Elms Arts Ministry!

Our purpose is to support friendship and faith by encouraging creativity and bringing people together.

We create events where people can grow alongside one another through shared experiences of the arts.

Rooted in Nine Elms and Battersea, our work grows from the people, stories, and creativity of this changing area, shaped through collaboration with those who live and work here.

Everyone is welcome — artists and audiences, neighbours and newcomers — to take part, explore, and belong. Look out for exhibitions, workshops, performances and reflective gatherings as we create new opportunities for conversation and connection.

 Past Projects - some history

From 2018 the Nine Elms Arts Ministry created arts events to bring people together in Nine Elms. In 2025 the ministry closed and to ensure its legacy remained a vibrant part of Nine Elms it handed over its resources to St George’s Nine Elms Church, which is now reshaping this wonderful legacy to meet the needs of the area as it changes.

At St George’s Nine Elms Arts Ministry we believe that arts, creativity and spirituality are central to building a healthy, vibrant and inclusive community so it can be a place of joy for everyone.

Here are some of the past projects we are reshaping for the future.

“I can attest to the immense quality of Nine Elms Arts Ministry’s accessible arts projects, which are characterised by conscientious curation and careful evaluation. Their collaborative approach has been an invaluable tool for public empowerment in the community. For them, community cohesion and inclusivity aren’t just outcomes, but are built into the very means through which their projects are designed and delivered. With over five years of activities, they possess deep roots in our community and the proven capacity for accelerating positive change and drawing people together from a diversity of backgrounds.”
